Restaurant & Dining — Example Project
La Vague — A Tasting Menu, Told in One Scroll.
A single-page dining experience built around pace, not pages.
The Problem
Restaurant sites usually fracture the story across a dozen thin pages — a menu PDF, a separate gallery, a separate booking widget — and lose the atmosphere in the process. La Vague needed one continuous scroll that felt like the meal itself.
The Approach
torsn built La Vague as a six-chapter single-page site — numbered I through VI, Présentation through Contact & Réservations — pairing full-bleed photography with a marquee rhythm and a reservation flow embedded directly in the final chapter.
Visual System
Warm, photography-led, full-bleed imagery, French-language editorial copy, roman-numeral chapter markers, and a marquee ticker that keeps the Mediterranean present without competing with the food.
On the Menu.
Led by chefs Dídac Alcoriza and Julien Beaulieu — a menu built around product, not theatrics.
Disciplines
- • Single-Page Narrative Architecture
- • Photography-Led Art Direction
- • French-Language Editorial Copy
- • Embedded Reservation Flow
Outcome
- — One continuous scroll replacing a typical five-to-six page restaurant site.
- — Photography doing the selling instead of sales copy.
- — A reservation flow built into the story instead of bolted on after.
- — A reusable structure for single-location hospitality clients.
