MaoMao — Boutique Kawaii Concept
A playful brand world crafted for a small independent business.

The Problem
Small businesses often rely on generic templates that fail to express personality. MaoMao was imagined as a boutique Japanese-inspired brand — soft, friendly, emotionally warm.
The challenge was to translate a kawaii aesthetic into a digital experience that felt cohesive, intentional, and visually charming without being chaotic. The goal was clarity through character.
The Approach
torsn approached MaoMao as a brand atmosphere project. The focus was defining a consistent color language, building a playful but structured layout, and designing UI elements that reflect softness.
Every design choice had to feel intentional, not childish. Cute does not mean careless.
Visual System
MaoMao’s identity leans into soft pastel tones, rounded forms, whitespace to prevent visual overload, and clear hierarchy despite playful styling. Typography and layout remain structured — even within expressiveness.
